Welcome to the Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy in Decatur, IL.
At our school kids, young adults and adults can train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) for self-defense, fitness, competition or personal well-being. We welcome new students from beginners to experienced practitioners who want to learn these styles of martial arts.
Our head instructor, Professor Lisa De La Rosa is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, promoted by Master Carlos Gracie Jr. himself, and current student of, Professor Marcos Barros. Lisa is the only instructor in Decatur, Mt. Zion, and Forsyth, IL who has been given permission by Master Carlos Gracie Jr. to teach Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Professor Lisa (brown belt) beat Carina Damm (black belt) in the finals and wins the Champions Belt in Black Belt division in No-Gi Expert Division.
